At the Industrial Revolution, it came into existence and was not so expensive as silk. In the hotter parts of India, silk is worn by people because of its cooler nature. Tussar silk is also known as Bhagalpuri silk sarees, whereas Tussar silk Sanskrit's name is Kosa silk.

 

Tussar silk is more than 100 years old and is originated from Bhagalpur. It is very famous among the tribals. Production of this silk is from the larvae of various species of silkworms associated with the moth genus Antheraea.

 

The design of the Tussar silk sarees has a rich texture and natural golden color having gleaming work of nature-influenced designs, which makes it unique from the other sarees. Famous designers experiment by using this fabric.



  • Banglori Silk Sarees

 

Banglori Silk sarees are very well-known because of the integrity and purity of the silk and its appearance. Firstly this silk is produced in the southern part of Bangalore, Karnataka. 

 

Previously, only dark color silk sarees had golden threads woven on the pallus in trend. However, the latest Banglori silk sarees are double color, printed crepe silk sarees, adjustable silk saree designs. Banglori silk sarees are very popular among young ladies, and their range is also not expensive.



  • Chanderi Silk Sarees

Chanderi silk sarees are originated from the chanderi, Madhya Pradesh. In the Mughal times, the production of chanderi silk sarees is at its peak.
